Christine Pfeiffer Stocke
Talk to me about Dance TV!
Hey! I’m Christine Pfeiffer Stocke. I am a New Jersey native who has called Duluth home for over 20 years.
I started as an actor attending the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and The Groundlings School for Improvisation. After performing for a few years I started writing. When one of my screenplays became a finalist in America’s Best Screenplay it caught the attention of an agent in LA. and yada, yada, yada. Currently I have 3 screenplays currently optioned by a small production company in Los Angeles.
My latest project is Dance TV.
The idea for Dance TV came, oddly enough, after the Pulse Nightclub shootings. After that horrific event my writing partner, Andy Frye, came to me and said, “We need to do a theater piece that makes people feel joy and want to spread joy.”
After going back and forth with several ideas we settled on Dance T.V..
Dance T.V. is live theater show meant to be performed in non-traditional venues such as gay bars and nightclubs. The first part of Dance T.V. is the show within the show. Dance T.V. is like Solid Gold, American Bandstand or Club MTV and in our world, it is also the number one show in the country. The audience comes in to watch the “taping” of it’s season premiere episode. It is in this taping that they are privy to what goes on while the cameras are rolling and what goes on when the cameras are off. The second part of Dance T.V. is a full blown dance party where the audience is welcome to cut loose and join in on the fun.
Dance T.V. will be held at The Brewer’s Garage on Friday October 11th.
We are camp. We are fun. We are a bit dirty. We are over the top. We are a guilt free good time
Come join the party!
